Should I be my own Resp Org?

The typical short answer is no. However, there may be a combination of factors that make it a solid business case to do so.

In no particular order they are:

• Assurance of business continuity for your organization regardless of external circumstances
• Being more in-control of your business destiny with less dependency on others, such as  Carriers and third party Resp Orgs
• The volume of SMS/800 transactions per month is over 1,000 to 1,200 per month.
• Your business benefits from more direct control and autonomy
• As your own Resp Org, you may use multiple carriers to setup least cost routing and disaster recovery routing

If the above factors make business and economic sense to you, then being your own Resp Org is well worth pursuing.

There are two levels for being your own Resp Org

Level 1: You will have earned a Resp Org ID as a sub-user of Worldlink.
While not complete autonomy, it gives you total control, less cost and limited dependency on Worldlink

Level 2: You will have earned Certification, your own Resp Org ID and are completely independent.
The highest level of autonomy and independence, you are in total control.
